Pre-Ballet/Creative
Dance (3-5yrs)
Class is designed to promote awareness of controlled movement to
music and to teach basic motor skills to pre-school students. At
a mildly structured level, we encourage body position, movement
and stretching to improve co-ordination and imagination through
dance.
Combo
Classes (4-6 years) (Jazz and Tap)
This class serves as a link between creative dance and individual dance diciplines. The
goal of this program is to develop rhythm, coordination and dance.
This class teaches dance skills and adds the excitement of performance
opportunities within the community. It is designed to help build
self-esteem, develop motor skills, body awareness and provide group
involvement.
Tap
(Traditional Tap Style)
Rhythmic combinations are taught to master this fine art. Tap usually
begins at the age of four.
Rhythm
Tap/Int/Advanced
Intermediate and advanced level classes for dancers with more than
two years of tap training. Rhythm tap is a funk tap style that emphasizes
percussive beats and intricate timing and speed rather than more
traditional tap “steps”.
Jazz
Concentration on style, technique, formations and use of props,
combined with the characteristic movements of whatever new style
of music is in. Jazz dance training helps to develop or improve
timing, speed, strength, agility and coordination. Strength and
flexibility are taught to the most updated music to learn this technique.
Jazz can be taken at the age of five.
Ballet
Ballet training is very important to every dancers development.
It is a technically structured class that is taught through barre
work, across the floor and center combinations. Ballet is the basic
foundation to all other dance forms.
Hip
Hop
This Class is centered around hip-hop dynamics, yet concentrated
on today’s video/ pop style. The focus of class comes from
the combination of power, energy, style, face and technique. Transitioning
technically trained dancers to understanding hip-hop style and giving
street dancers a sense of technique is a strong quality with this
class.
